Cedar Park and Leander residents can check out these five area events Jan. 25-29.

1. Livestock sold at Greater Leander Premium Auction Sale
Leander ISD FFA members sell cattle, lambs, swine, rabbits, poultry and goats.

11 a.m.-5 p.m. Free attendance; lunch is free for registered livestock buyers and corporate sponsors and $20 for others. Twin Creeks Country Club, 3201 Twin Creeks Club Drive, Cedar Park. 512-921-3000.

2. Health screenings offered for women at Baylor Scott & White Clinic
Healthy cooking demonstrations and select health screenings are offered at “For Women For Life 2018.” Register online or by phone.

3. Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation holds 2018 Gala
The LEEF Gala includes a 1970s-themed lip-sync battle, drinks, dinner, dancing and a silent auction.

4. Worth the trip: Dog Fashion Show benefits Austin Dog Rescue
BarkHappy and Nordstrom partner for a special event featuring a doggy runway with adoptable dogs from Austin Dog Rescue. Customers may shop with their dogs for the first hour of the event and receive free giveaways, goody bags, treats and more. Purchase tickets online.

11 a.m.-1 p.m. $12-$15. Nordstrom, Domain Northside, 3111 Palm Way, Austin.

5. Customers receive prizes at fundraiser at Whataburger
At the “Oh Whata Night” event, 20 percent of proceeds are donated to St. Dominic Savior Catholic High School. The fundraiser includes prizes for the first 100 guests, and one customer will win a year of free Whataburger.
