Thursday, Sept 21

Third Thursday Downtown Walkabout
Hosted by the Downtown Association SMTX, Downtown Walkabout is a monthly event that gives residents the ability to learn about their local businesses, partake in shopping sales and drink specials and enjoy live entertainment and art. Over a dozen business will participate in the event, along with a traveling quartet and shuttle service. 6-9 p.m. Free. Downtown San Marcos. 512-393-8430.





Friday, Sept. 22

Kyle Public Library’s Marvel trivia night
Think you are the master of Marvel Cinematic Universe trivia? Test your knowledge at the Kyle Public Library’s Marvel trivia night. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, but all ages are welcome. 5:30-7 p.m. Free. Stars At Night Concert Series
Texas State School of Music presents the string duo Low and Lower for its second concert in the 2017-2018 Stars At Night Concert Series.

Low and Lower consists of cellist Brooks Whitehouse and bassist Paul Sharpe who combine their musical talents with a touch of satire and a bit of theater. This event is open to the public and tickets may be purchased in advance or at the box office beginning one hour before the show. Fee-based parking is available in the Edward Gary Street Garage, located on the corner of Edward Gary Street and University Drive. 7:30 p.m. $10 (Adult), $8 (Students, Children and Senior Citizens), $5 (TXST Students). 14th Annual Johnathan Broderick Memorial Skateboard Competition
Show off your skateboarding skills at the 14th Annual Johnathan Broderick Memorial Skateboard Competition.
