A new fragrance boutique, Indiehouse Modern Fragrance Bar, opened in downtown Alpharetta on July 2. Located at 26 Old Roswell St., Ste. 101, Alpharetta, Indiehouse features a custom mixing bar, DIY workshops and a retail space with 42 independent brands from around the world, according to a press release from the boutique.

The boutique was created by an Alpharetta resident, Carrie Hadley, the release said. Hadley, a brand development executive, spent time in the south of France and developed proprietary house scents at a perfumer's studio in Los Angeles, which led to the opening of Indiehouse.

"I started to realize that what the world needed was not another fragrance brand, but rather, a better way to experience the many amazing independent brands already available on the market," Hadley said in the release. "I figured if I could bring together the best in clean fragrance then offer the opportunity to try your hand at creating your own, it would be a win for customers.
