High Country Outfitters, located at 4170 Avalon Blvd., Alpharetta, opened inside Avalon June 18, marking the store's fifth metro Atlanta location. The local, family-owned outdoor gear and clothing shop will feature only the retailer's most popular merchandise, including products from Patagonia, Yeti and Big Green Egg, according to a news release June 18.

"High Country Outfitters began when four friends with a passion for the great outdoors came together to create a place where Atlantans can get everything they need for their next adventure," said John Sloan, general manager and co-owner for High Country Outfitters, in the news release. "We’re proud that our next big adventure is taking us to Avalon, where we have the opportunity to introduce the Alpharetta community to the best of the best of High Country Outfitters."
