Coronavirus in Georgia: Test numbers rise by more than 10,000 in 24 hours

As the coronavirus pandemic continues, the Georgia Department of Public Health continues to report steady increases in the total number of administered COVID-19 tests—and case counts—each day, GDPH data shows.

City of Alpharetta to begin phased reopening May 15 beginning with park facilities

Alpharetta city officials announced a phased reopening plan for restoring regular in-person operations beginning May 15 in a press release May 12, starting with the following park facilities as long as appropriate social distancing and other Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines are practiced.



Georgia law firms, pro bono resource center launch free legal clinic for small businesses, nonprofits to navigate COVID-19 legal concerns

Small business owners and nonprofit leaders can now receive free, remote legal consultations on how to navigate the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, the Paycheck Protection Program and other legal concerns, according to a press release from Lawyers for Good Government.

For the week of April 13-20, the cities of Alpharetta, Milton and Sandy Springs; Roswell Inc; Select Fulton; and the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce partnered to send out a survey to more than 3,000 businesses in the Greater North Fulton County area to see how the COVID-19 pandemic was impacting their business operations, finances and workforce—a survey that will continue to be sent out monthly for the foreseeable future.
