A new bar offering drinks and a variety of games opened in East Austin April 24.

Full Circle Bar, 1810 E. 12th St., serves canned American craft beer and provides a home to Austin's local chapter of Brewskee-Ball, the first ever national Skee-Ball league.

"We're very happy to finally open a special home dedicated to Brewskee-Ball Austin, where league rollers and new friends and neighbors can play and celebrate great games like Skee-Ball and cornhole while enjoying awesome beer, food and fun," co-owner Eric Pavony said via email.

The first Full Circle Bar opened in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 2009. That same year, Austin's chapter of Brewskee-Ball started at The Scoot Inn in East Austin.

Weekly cornhole tournaments will begin soon at the bar utilizing the cornhole garden complete with four courts. Full Circle Bar also serves food and is available for parties.

NOW OPEN—Local ramen restaurant Michi Ramen opened its second location at 3005 S. Lamar Blvd., Ste. D-114, on June 17, serving authentic Japanese cuisine to Southwest Austinites. A limited selection of the full menu is now available; however, starting June 23 the ramen offerings at the South Lamar location will mirror those available at the original Michi Ramen on 6519 N. Lamar Blvd.

COMING SOON—Emmer & Rye, a new Italian and Scandinavian-influenced restaurant, opens its doors on Rainey Street this fall in the SkyHouse Austin apartment complex, 51 Rainey St. The restaurant will boast rustic and seasonally inspired cuisine with a dim sum-style service and a menu that changes weekly. Once Emmer & Rye opens, it will be the first contemporary American restaurant in Austin to offer such dim sum service, according to a news release.

COMING SOON—The fifth Texas location for Gino's East will open June 30 at 214 E. Sixth St. The eatery is native to Chicago and serves the city's deep dish-style pizza with menu items that boast Texas influences, such as a pizza that features barbecue beef brisket. Craft beer, cocktails and wine will also be available.

CLOSINGS—After 11 years of serving Austin, Freddie's Place will close June 28. Owner Freddie Nelson said he has no plans to open another location or a different concept. He said the space at 1703 S. First St. will be taken over by Fresa's Chicken al Carbon following extensive renovations anticipated for the site.
