From a bridal extravaganza to Shark Day at the Downtown Aquarium, there’s plenty to do in the Greater Houston area this weekend.

1. Cool down at Houston Zoo’s Ice Fest, July 13

With the purchase of a general admission ticket, zoo attendees can watch ice-carving artists carve large animal pieces as well as take photos with an ice throne and animal sculptures. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Houston Zoo, 6200 Hermann Park Drive, Houston. 713-533-6500.

2. Plan your wedding at the Bridal Extravaganza Show, July 14

The Bridal Extravaganza Show comes to Houston with 400 vendors in 700 display showcases. Vendors will showcase a variety of items and services, including flowers, wedding cakes, banquet facilities, bridal registries, photography, hair, makeup and photo booths. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. $15 online, $20 at the door. 3. Attend a free fitness expo, July 13-14

4. Shark Day at Downtown Aquarium, July 14

5. Drink beer and eat barbecue at local festival, July 14
