1. July 13—Get ice cream sundaes, make new friends
Nash Farm’s 1920s ice cream social is a chance for neighbors to get to know each other. 2. July 18—Take a writing workshop
Aspiring novelists can learn from writer Jenny Martin about how to craft prose, develop plot and navigate the publishing process. Participants can discuss ideas, brainstorm and ask questions. 3. July 20—Attend a beauty expo
World Beauty Fashion & Fitness Inc. is a beauty and fitness organization that features competitive shows across the country and internationally. It stops at the Palace Theatre for a show in July. 4. July 26—End the summer reading program with a big party
The Colleyville Public Library hosts a party to end its summer reading program. The outdoor event is open to all ages. 6. July 27—Sing along to classic songs, see a live concert
An outdoor concert featuring The Vinyl Stripes takes place at the Aria Amphitheater at The Marq Southlake. The band is influenced by music from the ‘50s and ‘60s. Its repertoire includes original songs as well as hits from popular artists such as Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, The Beatles and more, according to The Vinyl Stripes‘ website. 7-8:30 p.m. Free. 7. Aug. 3—Yoga pose for charity
Inspire Yoga and Hop and Sting Brewing Co. partner to present a yoga class as part of the Pints and Poses series. The yoga class encourages donations and begins with poses suitable for all skill levels. There is no fee required to participate. Donations go to a different charity each month. 11 a.m.-noon. Free.
