7 new restaurants now open in Central Austin


Frozen Rolls Creamery

Bar Peached

This fusion restaurant, from the team behind The Peached Tortilla, combines culinary traditions from Asia and the American South. It opened Jan. 5 at 1315 W. Sixth St., Austin. The space includes 61 inside seats and 62 patio spots shaded by a heritage tree. 512-992-0666. www.barpeached.com


The West Sixth Street restaurant inspired by Chef Drew Curren’s Italian travels opened a second location Jan. 12 at the Fareground food hall at 111 Congress Ave., Austin. It takes over the space previously occupied by Antonelli’s Cheese Shop. The menu focuses on rustic Italian pastas, salads and sandwiches. www.italicaustin.com

Little Brother

This new bar at 89 Rainey St., Austin, opened Dec. 29. From the team behind Wright Bros. Brew & Brew and Better Half Coffee & Cocktails, Little Brother serves food from Better Half. www.littlebrotherbar.com

Woko Loco

This fast-casual, Asian-inspired noodle chain was founded in Chihuahua, Mexico, and opened its first U.S. location at 1201 Barbara Jordan Blvd., Ste. 1280, Austin, on Jan. 9. Diners create customized boxes with noodles, rice, zucchini noodles or lettuce and their choice of proteins, vegetables and sauce. www.wokoloco.com

Lou’s Bodega

This restaurant opened Jan. 15 at 1900 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin. The latest project from the McGuire Moorman Hospitality, which also owns June’s All Day and Elizabeth Street Cafe, serves breakfast tacos, pastries, rotisserie meats, salads, frozen custard, and beer and wine. 512-660-5171. www.lousbodega.com

Sweet Chive
