Klein ISD Future Farmers of America hosts its 50th annual livestock and project show. On Feb. 7., students will show chickens, turkeys, pigs and heifers. Goats, lambs and steers, as well as floral designs, will be shown Feb. 8. The auction begins Feb. 9. Times vary. Free. Rockler Woodworking and Hardware, in partnership with the local chapter of the American Association of Woodturners, hosts an in-store woodturning demonstration. Attendees will learn how handles for kitchen utensils are turned as well as how to assemble the handle with the hardware. They will also be able to sign up for AAW memberships. Trained volunteers will be at Barbara Bush Library to help adults file their taxes for free. 4. Attend a childbirth class at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, Feb. 9

Expecting mothers and a support person can attend a childbirth class that will address changes that occur during late pregnancy and prepare participants for childbirth. Topics include: process of labor and birth, breathing and relaxation techniques, pain management options, cesarean birth and postpartum period.
The class also includes a tour of the Childbirth Center. Participants should bring two pillows and a beach towel or mat for breathing relaxation exercises. 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. $75. 5. Hear a talk from the parent of a child killed in the Santa Fe shooting, Feb. 10

Northwoods Presbyterian Church continues its series “Guns and schools – The search for Christian answers” with guest speaker Rhonda Hart. Hart is the parent of a child killed in the Santa Fe shooting May 18 in Santa Fe, Texas.
