  1. Attend the Houston Iranian Film Festival

2. Meet the Houston Astros at FanFest

Houston Astros fans will have a chance to meet players, alumni and sports broadcasters at Minute Maid Park on Saturday at the annual FanFest event. While online vouchers for the event have all been claimed, limited vouchers will be available at the park on the day of the event, according to the event website. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Free. 3. Catch a pop-up performance of Cirque du Soleil LUZIA
Jan. 26

The Cirque du Soleil LUZIA cast takes a break from performances at Sam Houston Race Park to put on a pop-up performance at Discovery Green on Saturday. 1-2 p.m. Free. Anheuser-Busch Stage at Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney St., Houston.

4. Celebrate Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company’s anniversary

5. Go to a monster truck show

6. Watch a comedy show

7. Last chance to skate with the stars
Jan. 27

This is the last weekend Discovery Green’s ice rink will be open. To close out the season, the park will host its last Skating with the Stars event, where Houston’s top figure skaters perform demonstrations on the rink. 6:30 p.m. Free. Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney St., Houston. 713-434-7465.

8. Listen to Toni Braxton
