From opening new clinics to adding services, multiple health care facilities are planning upgrades or expansions in 2019 throughout the Tomball and Magnolia area.
1. Tomball Regional Medical Center
The center is on track to receive Level III trauma designation in March, officials said. Level III facilities can provide 24-hour immediate care by emergency physicians and prompt assessment, care and stabilization of injured patients, according to the American Trauma Society.
2. TOMAGWA HealthCare Ministries
The nonprofit health care center will add laboratory services by mid-January in Tomball, Development Coordinator Ruth Cotter said. Each new lab will increase the number of available in-house tests from six to 20, allowing patients greater access to same-day test results, she said.
3. America’s ER Medical Centers
The America’s ER Medical Centers facility, offering both emergency and urgent care services, plans to add MRI capabilities in 2019, Media Coordinator Amanda Trickey said. This expansion will allow patients to receive MRI services 24 hours a day with a doctor’s order.
4. Tomball Regional Medical Center Women’s Pavilion
Solis Mammography is slated to open this spring as part of the Women’s Pavilion coming to the hospital’s former outpatient diagnostic center, hospital officials said. In addition to imaging services, the pavilion will feature specialty practices and OB-GYN physicians.
5. Women’s Clinic
A women’s clinic in partnership with Tomball Regional Medical Center and HCA Houston Healthcare is slated to open this spring in Magnolia. The clinic will offer services such as obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine, officials said.
