Conroe City Council votes to eliminate Planning & Zoning Commission

In a  3-2 vote during a July 10 meeting, Conroe City Council approved changing its ordinance to remove the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission, shifting authority for plat and plan approvals to city staff instead. Council members Howard Wood and Harry Hardman voted against the decision.
