The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum for Democratic and Republican candidates running for office in the Tomball area on Feb. 9.

The forum will take place at the Lone Star College-Tomball Beckendorf Conference Center at 30555 Hwy. 249, Tomball at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

All candidates running for representative positions in Texas House districts 126, 130 and 150 are expected to participate. Montgomery County Judge Craig Doyal will serve as moderator.

New Grand Parkway segments to open Feb. 6

Drivers to have free access for first week

Segments of the Grand Parkway will open sooner than expected, according to city and transportation officials.

During a Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Feb. 5, Tomball Mayor Gretchen Fagan announced that parts of the Grand Parkway segments F-1 and F-2 opened this afternoon.
