The federal government issued a disaster declaration June 13 for Montgomery County and 11 others in response to the flood conditions, which caused damage to 880 homes and 20 businesses between May 26-28.
To help residents, The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce partnered with Market Street and Interfaith of The Woodlands to staff a donation center to collect the following items:
- Water
- Batteries
- Toilet paper and paper towels
- Disposable diapers
- Personal hygiene items
- New towels and bedding
- New socks and underwear
- Clothing
- Paper goods
- Can openers
- Snacks and food
Items can be dropped off at the following locations:
