Dec. 10: Old Fashion Christmas Market

Dec. 10: Winter at Mercer Botanical Gardens

Mercer Botanical Gardens will host a festive winter day with a variety of activities for the whole family. Dec. 10: Conroe Christmas Celebration

The city of Conroe will host a Christmas celebration in downtown Conroe that will include pictures with Santa Claus, two snow hills, a trackless train, zip line carousel, petting zoo, a live nativity scene and camel rides. Dec. 11: 29th Annual Fort Bend Kia 30K Run

Part of the HARRA Fall Race Series and Houston Marathon Warm-up Series, the Kia 30K race runs through the Sweetwater neighborhood in Sugar Land with clearly marked kilometer and mile markers. Race participants can enjoy a free beer at Jupiter Pizza and Waffle Company in the square after the race. Water stations with Gatorade will be available every 2 miles and participants must be at least 12 years old. $42.50 (ages 12-17, full-time college student), $85 (adult). 6:30 a.m. (start time).
