Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare celebrated the grand opening of its new facility at 233 Sgt. Ed Holcomb Blvd. S, Conroe, on March 10, with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Services out of the former facility, located at 1506 FM 2854 Rd., Conroe, will cease March 17 at noon, and services at the new facility will begin a week later on March 27.

The three-story, 90,000-square-foot structure will host all outpatient services in Montgomery County, including outpatient mental health treatment, outpatient substance abuse treatment, intellectual disabilities services, diagnostic assessments and intake processes.

“We believe this building will be easier for the community to find, will be more efficient use of space for the services we provide, and it will ultimately allow us to provide services in a most cost-effective matter,” Executive Director Evan Roberson said.

The new facility will boast 230 staff members and have the capacity to serve approximately 4,000 patients. It will feature six conference rooms, an entire floor dedicated to children’s services and a full pharmacy.

The center will provide services for children and adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse disorders.

“We serve these people because our core values include the belief that every human life has intrinsic value and that this value requires action,” Roberson said. “Our staff pours their lives into the lives of those we serve, always looking for an opportunity to make a connection and alter the course of lives that have often become quite complex.”
