Conroe and Montgomery have a lot going on this week, Feb. 20-24, between the Conroe City Council meeting and a ceremony hosted by the city of Montgomery.

Conroe Industrial Development Corporation meets Feb. 20
The Conroe Industrial Development Corporation will meet Feb. 20 to discuss a drill site designation in Conroe Park North and view a presentation by Habitat for Humanity on request for infrastructure funding, among other agenda items. City of Montgomery hosts a ceremony to commemorate Green Zone Housing build, Feb. 22
The City of Montgomery will host a ceremony Feb. 22 commemorating a newly delivered 40 ft. shipping container, which will converted into the first fully-functioning, full-sized home built by the Green Zone Housing program for a Camp Hope Veteran. The ceremony will include speeches given by Chris Waller of Cannons Park Container—who donated the container, founders of Green Zone Housing and Camp Hope representatives. Stylecraft Builders will also present their title sponsorship check to help fund the build. Conroe City Council meets Feb. 22-23
Conroe City Council will meet this week to discuss a variety of items, including a bid award for M.P. Clark Roadway construction, a 2017 payment increase in the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District water use fee, and resolutions supporting the passage of legislation creating Montgomery County MUD 157 and 158. The council will meet at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 for the work session and reconvene at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 23 for the action agenda.
