A vacated restaurant building near Grapevine Mills will soon have a new tenant. Blue Goose Cantina, a Tex-Mex restaurant, was unanimously approved by Grapevine City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission during the Jan. 20 joint meeting.

The applicant came before city staff with plans to turn the former Saltwater Willys Restaurant space, located at 2455 E. Grapevine Mills Circle, to a restaurant with a covered outdoor patio that can accommodate 63 patrons. The restaurant will have seating for up to 198 guests.

The restaurant owner says he plans to open as soon as possible. He said construction is expected to take 90 days.

Menu items include quesadillas, fajitas, nachos, enchiladas, brisket tacos and chimichangas.

Blue Goose Cantina has locations in Plano, Frisco, Addison, McKinney, Highland Village and Dallas.
