Hays CISD will hold a board of trustees election in May for Single-Member District 3 and an at-large trustee position.
Following the Feb. 16 filing deadline, five candidates, including one incumbent, have filed to run. If elected, trustees will serve three-year terms.
On the ballot
The candidates who filed for Single-Member District 3 are:
- Courtney Runkle (incumbent/board secretary)
- Ramón Chavez
The candidates who filed for the at-large trustee position are:
- Katy Armstrong
- Geoff Seibel
- Jay Adcock
The at-large position is held by board President Will McManus, who was first elected in 2018 and is not seeking re-election.
Dates to know
- April 4: deadline to register to vote
- April 22: first day of early voting
- April 30: last day of early voting
- May 4: election day
