A new pedestrian crossing in Round Rock's downtown recently opened as part of a project to renovate the Griffith Building and construct a paseo. The crossing connects Prete Plaza to the paseo, currently undergoing construction.

After a monthlong closure, Main Street reopened with the newly constructed pedestrian crossing, which allows allowing for a safer route in downtown, according to the city. The new crossing is raised, with the sidewalk extended across the road, and features bollards and signs for drivers.
