Although ownership of the real estate on which four Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q locations sit has changed hands, the recent land deal will not affect the barbecue restaurant chain's Austin operations, an official for the management company that owns the franchises said.

“We simply have a new landlord,” said Marlis Oliver, executive director for K&N Management. “There are no changes or any implications to Rudy’s operations in Austin. … Everything will be identical to what it’s been in the past.”

K&N Management operates the four Austin-area Rudy’s locations: 2400 N. I-35, Round Rock; 11570 Research Blvd., Austin; 2451 S. Capital of Texas Hwy., Austin; and 7709 RR 620, Austin.

Oliver declined to release details of the transaction.
