Lake Travis, Lake Marble Falls, Inks Lake and Lake LBJ will reopen to recreational boating June 10 at noon, LCRA officials stated in a news release.

“The level of Lake Travis is continuing to fall, but the lake level is still in the flood pool, well above 681 feet above mean sea level,” the release stated. “Flows throughout the Highland Lakes continue to be strong, and anyone boating or swimming on the lakes should use caution and be on the lookout for debris and submerged objects.”

However, floodgate operations and/or hydroelectric generation continues at Buchanan, Wirtz, Starcke, Mansfield and Tom Miller dams. Officials stated that bacteria levels in the lakes are higher than normal after the recent rains.
