With all ballots reported, Cindy Anderson emerged as the Austin ISD board of trustees at-large Position-8-elect with 91,685 votes, or 55.7 percent of the votes. David Ryan Quintanilla received 72,728 votes, or 44.23 percent of the votes.

In the race to become Austin ISD's next at-large Position 8 trustee, early voting results indicate candidate Cindy Anderson is in the lead with 56.10 percent of the vote, or 74,023 votes. Her opponent. David Ryan Quintanilla. received 43.90 percent of the votes, or 57,923 votes.

"I am very excited," Anderson said. "From everything I'm hearing, this is very indicative of an eventual win, which I'm very happy about, as a candidate who has experience over someone who doesn't. Direct experience does matter."
