From the group that runs local Austin bars and restaurants such as Gibson Street Bar and The Wheel comes a new South Lamar Boulevard cafe concept: Stonehouse Coffee+Bar.

Stonehouse is set to open in winter 2016 at 1105 S. Lamar Blvd., Austin, next to Gibson Street Bar in the 18th-century Dawson building.

Stonehouse partner Matt Luckie said he was excited to introduce a "fresh and modern concept" within the walls of the "unique, historical building" and pay homage to Austin's early history.

Michael Hsu Office of Architecture will be designing the space.

The cafe and bar will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. and will serve coffee, beer on tap, wine, pastries and gelato. A food truck will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
