Pie-é-tea coming soon Pie-é-tea is a takeout coffee and sourdough pastry shop opening in February by pizza restaurant Pieous.[/caption]

Nearly three years after pizza restaurant Pieous began serving Neapolitan-style pies and pastrami for lunch and dinner, an expansion is in the works for morning coffee and pastry service.

Sometime in mid-February, owners Josh and Paige Kaner plan to open Pie-é-tea, a takeout shop located next to the Pieous parking lot.

The shop will serve to-go coffee, tea, smoothies, and various pastries including croissants and cinnamon pecan rolls, freshly made with sourdough each morning. While service is primarily takeout, the adjacent outdoor patio may have some seating, Josh said.

Tentative operating hours will be from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. The Kaners are also considering using Pie-é-tea in the evenings for Pieous takeout and beer and wine in the patio.

"[Pie-é-tea] is quality by Pieous," Josh said. "It's a new opportunity for us to showcase what we love to do, and that's serve people."

Pieous and Pie-é-tea are located at 12005 W. Hwy. 290.
