Three of four incumbents on Cedar Park City Council plan to run for reelection, with the fourth race including two challengers.



The deadline to file an application to be placed on the ballot for the city of Cedar Park’s May 2 general election was 5 p.m. Feb. 14.



Cedar Park will elect a new mayor as well as council members for Places 2, 4 and 6.



The following candidates will be on the ballot, according to the city:

    • Mel Kirkland (incumbent)

    • Eric Boyce

    • Jim Penniman-Morin



  • Place 6

    • Heather Jefts





Place 4 Council Member Michael Guevara is the only incumbent who did not apply to be placed on the ballot, according to the city secretary’s website.
