The 13-story luxury hotel The Westin The Woodlands is expected to open in late February at 2 Waterway Square.

The new hotel, which is located adjacent to Waterway Square, features 302 guest rooms and a number of upscale amenities. The lobby area features a bar with a waterfront terrace along with an entrance to the hotel’s restaurant, Current, which will offer seasonal breakfast, lunch and dinner menu items.

Level two features a workout studio, sun terrace with lounge chairs and SideBar, an upscale bar which opens onto a wraparound balcony and a large patio area with a vanishing edge and glass tile pool.

The remaining 10 floors feature 30 guestrooms each with modern custom furnishings, lounge seating, solar and blackout shades, a wall-mounted flat screen TV and bedside lighting controls.

The Westin The Woodlands will also feature meeting and event space, including a 6,000-square-foot Edgewater Ballroom. It can fit two simultaneous groups of about 100 people or one group of 222.

The hotel’s event space also offers five additional areas to accommodate 20 to 50 people, including a live wall with an interactive display board.

Guests will be able to access the hotel from three areas: a lobby entrance near the top of Waterway Square Place; a wraparound terrace off The Waterway; and from the northwest corner of the building off a grand staircase.
