The Woodlands Development Company celebrated the completion of framework construction Nov. 15 on its latest Class A office building, 3 Waterway.

Representatives from the Development Company, The Woodlands Township and tenants of the building were on hand to witness the final beam being hoisted into place atop the nine story, 192,000-square-foot building.

"We are changing the skyline a bit," said Alex Sutton, co-president of The Woodlands Development Company.

Construction began last fall on 3 Waterway and is 98 percent leased, said Susan Vreeland-Wendt, director of marketing for the Development Company. Tenants who have signed leases at the building are Nexeo Solutions, Waste Connections, Energy Alloys, Insperity and Next Decade.

Final construction is expected to be completed on 3 Waterway in early or mid-2013. The building is the latest in a line of Class A office space either completed, nearing completion or in the works. Next up is 10 Waterway, on the south side of The Woodlands Waterway.

A timeline for construction on that building has not been announced by the Development Company.
